Pathway to Freedom Exhibit Destination Cities

It is our mission to help destination locations across the United States to encourage youth in their areas to get involved in experiencing history.  A conducive environment is given to youth so they can dialogue about issues of the past, present and future.  The motto of the Dallas Civil Rights Museum is: “If you are going to be the voice of history, you must know history.”

The exhibit was created for students by students in 2004 and it has evolved into six main areas:

  • The Transatlantic Slave Trade
  • The Trail of Tears Trail Heroes
  • The Tulsa Race Riot Survivors
  • The Underground Railroad Faces of Freedom
  • The Civil Rights Movement History Makers
  • The Civil Liberties of the Aborigines

We must never forget!
